It is the stream of hot air that "brings to life" EVA foam, making it susceptible to shaping and forming into complex, organic curves. Without a heat gun, creating fitted armor is virtually impossible.

Two key functions that will revolutionize your workflow

A heat gun is not just for bending. It is a versatile tool that plays two fundamental roles when working with EVA foam:

• Heat forming: This is its primary task. Once heated, EVA foam becomes flexible and pliable. You can then freely bend it over a knee, bowl, bottle, or other form to create perfectly rounded pauldrons, breastplates, helmets, or bracers. After cooling down, the foam retains its new shape.
• Heat sealing: Before you start priming, a quick and even "sweep" of the foam surface with hot air closes its porous structure. This makes the surface smoother, and the primer does not soak excessively into the material. This is the secret to professional and efficient painting.
